Strap Guide: Seiko Prospex SRPL15

Strap Guide: Seiko Prospex SRPL15

Introduction

The Seiko Prospex SRPL15, in my humble opinion, truly has it all. To my eyes, it’s a refined evolution of the classic ‘Samurai’ — now more versatile than ever, thanks to its mix of black tones and the way it plays with light. While it measures a hair under 42mm, it wears closer to 40mm, making it a great fit for almost any wrist. This Seiko is a true sports watch, offering bold, angular finishing and 200m of water resistance — even for those of us who have no business diving that deep. And the cherry on top? It’s an absolute strap monster. Everything looks good on it! The only question is: Which vibes do you have in mind?

Olive Green Tropical Rubber CTS

The Olive Green Tropical Rubber CTS strap brings out the sportier, more expressive side of the SRPL15. Its earthy tone and textured finish give the watch a rugged, field-ready vibe, while still feeling warm and approachable. The yellow accents on the hour markers co-exist beautifully with the olive green strap, creating a colour harmony that feels intentional without trying too hard. Perfect when worn with autumn tones or neutral layers, this combo stands out quietly; it's the kind of strap that elevates your outfit without overpowering it.

Navy Mosaic Rubber CTS

A true game changer, the Navy Mosaic Rubber CTS strap is one of those unexpected combinations that just works. At first glance, the contrast between the strap’s eye-catching mosaic texture and the clean, angular case of the SRPL15 might seem a little too much. But once on the wrist, it’s the perfect storm: striking, modern and full of personality. The blue tone plays with light in a way few straps can, turning heads without ever feeling over the top. Pair it with monochromatic outfits or grayscale tones, and let the strap do the talking. Sporty, elevated and utterly unique.
